Size 9.5, Forest Dweller Ring Set, Mushroom Moon&Star
When one thinks of forest dwellers, one often thinks of squirrels or foxes or even (dare I say) fawns! But what about mushrooms? Not quite an animal and not quite a plant, these fungi are in a category all of their own and I can't imagine a forest expedition without them.
This set of rings is an ode to the forest and all its mystery while stargazing through the bare canopy in Autumn.
The damp, crisp air the forest greets you with. The soft cushion of moss and fallen leaves beneath your feet. The crunch of those leaves fallen long ago. A tribute to the brightness of light filtered through the leaves above, and the dark earth below. There is a juxtaposition of mystery and familiarity that calls you further in. There isn't a single forest exploration that is void of a sort of humming, one that vibrates both life and death; mushrooms sprouting among fallen friends and roots rising from ancient trees. Oh, what stories they must tell.
Both pieces of agate are dark and mysterious, just like our mushroom friends. Upon first glance these stones appear black but upon further inspection little worlds emerge. Blooming turkey tails and orange chantrelle, swirls of mushroom spores faintly visible through the air..
Both of these rings are crafted out of solid silver and have been given a dark patina and then a high polish on both top and bottom. One, is a piece of forest moonlight while the other is a glittering of her stars.
The mushroom moon measures approx 43mm x 22mm and weighs .60 ounces. The mushroom stars measures approx 32mm x 25mm and weighs .50 ounces.
As always, both stones are small and independent artisan cut, genuine and valuable.
