Safe Passage.
One of the most prominent beliefs regarding a moth's attraction to light, and the one I believe is most substantiated, involves what is called transverse orientation. Some insects navigate by flying at a constant angle relative to a light source, such as the moon. Artificial light is relatively new and even fires as light sources were drastically fewer and far between as our population was sparser and more dictated by natural cycles. Many experts believe a moth's attraction to light is its bond to the moon.
Two large wings are carved from amethyst while a guiding crescent moon is found above, ornately adorned and cradling a faceted sapphire. The sapphire, at very precise directional angles as a nod to those the moth flies by, will light up in a dazzling display of silvers, blues and icy violets.
Crafted out of Fine Silver (.999) and Sterling Silver (.925). It has been given a dark patina and then finished with a mix of both rough and high polishes for maximum magical feel. Measures approximately 2.1" x 1.85" at longest and widest points.
PLEASE NOTE: Fits a size 7 on a NON-adjustable band - unfortunately this ring can NOT be re-sized. It is a triple band as shown in the above pictures.

Each item is individual and handmade meaning no production lines are found at Dark Fawn. In this inherent nature, each piece will feature "imperfections" as the evidence of the individual eye and human touch each piece receives; making them all the more unique, ever more valuable and filled with energy. I also offer a lifetime guarantee on the blackened patina. If in the future, the patina wears off (as is the nature of it, giving it a more aged look as time goes on), simply send the ring back to me and I will re-blacken it for free. Did I leave anything out? Please check out my FAQ!
