Supernatural Superstitions & Lore
Orange to blue a spirit has come to haunt you!
It was once believed that a flame turning blue signaled a spirit had entered the room. Throughout the 18th century, the concept of a flame burning blue due to nearby ghosts was "so universally acknowledged, that many eminent philosophers have busied themselves in accounting for it, without once doubting the truth of it." - Francis Grose, Collections of Proverbs and Popular Superstitions, 1787.
Handcrafted out of fine and sterling silver, this ring offers a flame of labradorite; it's color transforms from orange to blue as howling spirits roam about. One of those spirits carved from silver floats about above, next to the candle announcing its presence as a rising crescent moon is witness to it all.
Measuring approximately 2.5" x 1" at widest points and weighing approx .9 ounces. It rests on the band shown above; a heavy and edged split band which is a size 8. I'm sorry, I am unable to resize pieces at this time.
PLEASE NOTE! This piece is discounted!! It sits a little more tilted than I had planned, and as such has been given a discount! Happy Halloween!
