The Blue Flame..
It was once believed that a flame turning blue signaled a spirit had entered the room. Throughout the 18th century, the concept of a flame burning blue due to nearby ghosts was "so universally acknowledged, that many eminent philosophers have busied themselves in accounting for it, without once doubting the truth of it." - Francis Grose, Collections of Proverbs and Popular Superstitions, 1787.
This large statement pendant has been entirely handcrafted and features a large teardrop of Labradorite which holds the licking flames of a haunting! Dripping candles carved from silver fill the room, and as their flames burn blue the air electrifies with ghostly whispers...
This large labradorite is filled with orange and golds which reach out and morph into deep, blinding blues. Is there a ghost about? In fact, there's two!
A large and substantial piece, measuring approximately 2.75" x 1.85" at widest and longest points with the flying ghosts being approximately 1" tall. Weighs approximately a little over 2 ounces. Strung on a 17" sterling chain as shown above.
