The rustling pages sending the smell of old ink and paper into the air which carries with it the promise of wonderment, travel, contemplation and embrace. Written words possessing all the greatest of loves and the most somber of truths held within your hands.
But they're even better when the literary treasures they offer are accompanied by a flower sprig long forgotten. Have you ever pulled out an old book to find dried petals pressed between the pages? Unfolding the wax paper so gently as if its very existence was bound by your held breath. The opened pages revealing a memory of which you never knew was lost, almost perfectly preserved. Perhaps it was in a bookstore and thus stories abounded of who and why and when it was placed with such intention.
The stone held by this piece is one that I have held onto for years. It is the only one I have, and the only one I have ever seen that is of this caliber of beauty: perfectly translating into a blanket of dried petals. It is a large piece of rare multi-colored spinel within quartz held by thick and solid 14k gold (not plated or filled) resting on tiered fine and sterling silver. On either side, a 14k gold ball rests with the "twine" of hung flowers wrapped around either side of the split band.
This ring is a size 7 and I do not offer resizing. The twine on the band does NOT wrap all the way around, merely designed to appear as if it does. The inside is perfectly smooth and you will not be poked or snagged.
